Description

As a DevOps Engineer you will support multiple enterprise multi-tenant cloud applications distributed throughout the world in a multi-AZ AWS environment. You'll be part of a cross functional team that includes Devops Engineers, Developers, Quality Assurance Engineers and DBAs. You will be responsible for deploying product updates, identifying production issues and implementing integrations that meet our customers' needs. You'll benefit from short sprints and a consistent work pace. And you'll be driving innovation across some of our fastest growing product lines. Required Experience

  • 1-3 years of professional experience as a Software Engineer
  • At least 3-5 years professional experience as a Devops Engineer.
  • At least 3-5 years of experience working with Linux systems (Debian/Ubuntu preferred)
  • At least 3-5 years of extensive AWS Experience
  • Comfortable with operating from the Linux command line interface
  • Python (most preferred)/BASH and/or other scripting languages.
  • Familiarity with deployment/management tools (Jenkins, AWS SSM, Rundeck, etc).
  • Problem solving attitude.
  • Collaborative team spirit.
  • Ability to write efficient scripts to automate repetitive tasks.
  • Ability to dig in and get hands on to provide "quick win" performance improvements.
  • Ability to work outside of traditional working hours as needed by the business.

Preferred Experience

  • Comfortable with Windows DSC
  • Familiarity with NoSQL, especially DynamoDB and/or Redis.
  • High level of understanding in cloud networking - including transitive routing, site-to-site network establishment, segmented account networking, etc.
  • Experience with serverless architecture (Lambda, API Gateways, Cloudfront, etc) and containerization
  • Experience with Jenkins, Ansible, Docker, and CloudFormation.

Responsibilities

  • Building and setting up new development tools and infrastructure
  • Working on ways to automate and improve development and release processes
  • Testing and examining code written by others and analyzing results
  • Ensuring that systems are safe and secure against cybersecurity threats
  • Deploy updates and fixes
  • Build tools to reduce occurrences of errors and improve customer experience
  • Develop software to integrate with internal back-end systems
  • Perform root cause analysis for production errors
  • Investigate and resolve technical issues
  • Develop scripts to automate visualization and other tasks

Job Type:Full-Time, exempt. Base salary, health benefits, 401K matching.

Pay Transparency: The base pay range for this position is $90,000 to $160,000 per year The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, experience and training, skills, licenses and certifications, and education among other factors.
