What You'll Do
    Responsible for researching payroll laws and registration for new IMA locations (federal, state and local).
  • Manage payroll tax compliance and reporting for various filing frequencies.
  • Respond to and resolve inquiries and correspondence from taxing jurisdictions.
  • Reconcile payroll tax data with general ledger accounts and resolve discrepancies.
  • Research and resolve tax code fallouts from within the payroll system and process any necessary tax amendments or filings and payments.
  • Reconcile quarterly and yearly employer's tax filings (Federal, State and Local Jurisdictions) including W2s.
  • Partner with payroll processing team and the payroll system for accurate and timely calculation, reporting and payment of payroll taxes.
  • Develop and implement strong internal controls related to payroll tax processes and compliance.
  • Serve as a backup for payroll administers. Including data entry in the HRIS system, pay calculations, garnishments, final termination payouts, and timecard processing.
  • Responsible for system administration of the timecard system. This includes system configuration to ensure accurate setup and access for associates as well as timecard training for new associates and managers.
  • Administer regular preparation of relevant reports, including weekly, monthly, quarterly, and year-end reports necessary for accounting and financial statement reporting. Miscellaneous reporting duties as requested.
  • Responsible for administrative payroll functions including checking the mail, scanning, and filing of payroll documents into the electronic filing system.
  • Provides support for employment verifications and unemployment claims.
  • Assist associates with questions or concerns regarding payroll policies and procedures.
  • Assist Payroll Manager with RSA processing, M&A activity, and year end processing.
  • Responsible for documenting and maintaining payroll team procedures and policies.
  • Perform other payroll related duties and projects as assigned.
  • Support and demonstrate IMA's core values.

You Should Have:
  • Minimum 5 years of payroll tax or related experience required
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred
  • CPP preferred
  • Exceptional analytic and math skills required
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products (specifically PowerPoint, Outlook, Word, and Excel) required
  • Sound judgment, maturity, and the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong attention to detail and organization skills
