Job Purpose:

Routinely operate Vac Truck, Super Sucker, Mini-Vac, and other assorted Fluids and gravel hauling equipment.

The Seasonal Driver / Operator position is expected to run through August/September of 2024, with potential for long-term employment, and is located on the North Slope and requires a four weeks on/ two weeks off rotational work schedule. The typical schedule is 84 hours per week (40 hours straight time and a minimum of 44 hours at time and a half), with opportunities to work additional hours, depending on business demands. All PPE is provided except for steel or composite toed boots, which the candidate must have. All meals and lodging are provided by Worley while the employee is on location. Relocation assistance to Alaska is not provided; however, transportation between Anchorage and Prudhoe Bay is provided.

Essential Job Functions:

· Complete pre and post trip inspections of trucks/trailers/equipment per DOT and company requirements.

· Complete a task hazard assessment IFWA (Incident Free Work Assessment) prior to starting any job.

· Adhere to all North Slope client and Worley health, safety and environment policies and procedures always.

· Safely secure all loads.

· Safely climb ladders on upright tanks (UR) 25’ in height & perform strapping operations to determine ullage of tank.

· Routinely connect/disconnect 3” 30’ hose to offload and loading locations as necessary.

· Pull multiple strings of 3” hose for making up connections up to 100’ in length.

· Gravel hauling.

· Safety back tractor/trailer into position while utilizing a spotter or cone as a point of reference.

· Maintain equipment in good/clean working order.

· Maintain communications with foremen, dispatch, and clients when necessary.

· Attend all toolbox and safety meetings.

· Routinely performs safety observations; shop, field, and vehicle/equipment inspections.

· Attend various components of developmental and safety training.

· The position is required to perform physical labor when equipment operations are not necessary.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

· Ability to read maps.

· Ability to follow detailed directions.

· Ability to complete task hazard awareness and mitigation.

· Ability to safely drive/ operate tractor-trailer combination, 325 BBL Vacuum Truck, Super Sucker, Mini-Vac, and other assorted Fluids and gravel hauling equipment.

· Extensive equipment operation in congested areas, large volume of backing operations and in severe weather conditions.

· Knowledge of standard DOT regulations.

· Must be able to follow all company, client, safety, and regulatory requirements, including, but not limited to, policies, procedures, standards, and guidelines as they relate to this position and the work duties being performed.

· Ability to work at heights.

· Ability to work as part of a team; communicate effectively with fellow workers and alternate.

· Ability to demonstrate adherence to established safety policies and procedures.

· Ability to demonstrate support for the company’s environmental management system.

Physical Demand/Work Environment:


Work is performed in a remote Arctic environment with limited medical resources. Candidate understands the site is approximately 840 miles (at least 4 hours by air ambulance) from surgical, specialist, and tertiary medical care, and where medical evacuation from this location may be significantly delayed due to weather conditions. The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the essential functions of this job, the employee is required to:

· Must have ability to stand, walk on level, uneven and slippery surfaces, sit, squat, kneel, crawl, reach through low and high ranges, work overhead, and exhibit normal balance and coordination. These basic physical requirements are essential for safe performance of the job in harsh environments with exposure to very cold temperatures and while wearing arctic gear.

· Standing for prolonged periods of time.

· Driving for prolonged periods of time in the dark and inclement weather

· Ability to climb scaffold, ramps, stairs, equipment, portable ladders, and/or wellhouse/tank/facility fixed ladders of 20 feet or greater.

· Ability to wear and utilize fall protection within manufacturer specifications.

· Lift 50 lbs. from floor to waist with two hands.

· Lift 50 lbs. from floor to shoulder with two hands.

· Carry 50 lbs. for 15 feet with two hands.

· Push/pull 60 lbs. sled for 20 feet.

· Push/pull 90 lbs. cart for 20 feet.

Qualifications:

External Qualifications:

· Valid Class A CDL driver’s license Tanker endorsements and ability to be insured by Worley’s auto insurer.

· Ability to obtain Hazardous Materials endorsement within 60 days of hire.

· Current CDL/DOT medical card.

· High school diploma or equivalent (GED).

· North Slope Training Cooperative (NSTC). Worley can provide NSTC certification training if needed.

Preferred Qualifications:

· One (1) year North Slope experience.

· One (1) years’ experience operating fluid hauling equipment (tanker, super sucker, vac truck, etc.).

· One (1) year working in oil and gas industry

· Applicable certifications for equipment operation, IVES, NCCER, or other industry recognized training programs.
