This position is similar to the B&M Consultant with a critical difference; it requires the applicant to have displayed a higher level of technical expertise and some leadership abilities. This is a full working position as required and is accountable for providing consulting activities, inspections and technical expertise to assigned customers and prospects. The position is an integral part of ARISE and assumes a primary role in the servicing of our customers and developing new business. Remote position.

 

JOB DESCRIPTION:

- Inspects boilers and pressure vessels to meet regulatory requirements.

- Provides limited supervision and/or direction to B&M Consultants as assigned by the Managing Supervisor or Manager Codes and Standards.

- Being a Team Leader who provides team management for large accounts or team inspections, as assigned.

- Inspects assigned field or shop locations to applicable ASME Shops or Field Sites, as directed by the Manager Codes and Standards.

- Performs Audits of ASME Shops or Field Sites, as directed by the Manager Codes and Standards.

- Performs Loss Control inspections when assigned to comply with company policies and procedures.

- Performs other types of inspections to specified codes or standards, as assigned.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

- High School

- National Board or Jurisdictional Commission.

- ASME/National Board Code Endorsements as required

- Bachelor’s Degree in engineering preferred.

EXPERIENCE:

- 4+ years experience in ASME Code manufacturing of boilers or pressure vessels and/or operation of high pressure boilers. In addition, the applicant must also comply with the requirements of the jurisdiction and/or National Board of Boiler Pressure Vessel inspectors.

- 1+ years as a B&M consultant.

- Ability to perform inspections assigned with limited or no supervision.

- Ability to plan for and meet deadlines.

- Represent ARISE products and services in a professional manner.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Directs and manages teams in performing consulting activities, when assigned.

- Provides short-term supervision or direction to B&M Consultants, as assigned.

- Manages all aspects of the assigned duties to meet the requirements of the governing codes, company procedures and or policies.

- Participates in providing solutions to problems that do not comply with the requirements of the regulating codes or standards, as requested by the Managing Supervisor Manager Codes and Standards or customer.

- Presents and documents concise engineering evaluations and reports, as required.

- Reports to the Managing Supervisor or Manager Codes and Standards as applicable any situation that does not comply with the regulating code or company procedures.

- Assists in the solicitation or development of new business.

- Comply with all company policy and procedures as applicable.

- General office equipment; telephone, personal computer, printer, copier, scanner and other communication tools.
