SUMMARY

The Warehouse Coordinator verifies and keeps records on incoming and outgoing shipments and prepares items for shipment by performing the following duties. The position will additionally have the responsibility of driving the equipment carrying product needing to be transferred between warehouses. A wide degree of latitude is required in making decisions when it comes to prioritizing activities for both inbound and outbound shipments, which if not done efficiently and timely, could have a significant impact on retention of our customers, thereby affecting our overall business operations. Both manual work and non-manual administrative activities are required in this position.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

· Must be able or have the ability to be trained and licensed to safely operate electric forklifts, pallet electric trucks and propane forklifts. Complete daily forklift inspection sheet and perform weekly battery maintenance.

· Daily reviews all open orders that pertains to their area of responsibility and fulfills the order pulling process prior to or at the beginning of the order’s ship window.

· Ability to accurately pull finished goods, samples, and warranty parts and pack for shipment.

· Pulls, wraps, and weighs each pallet of product and affixes shipping labels in compliance with the vendor guide shipping requirements.

· Ability to navigate in NetSuite and PaceJet to generate labels for all small package customers either shipping through UPS, FedEx, or U.S. mail.

· Examines outgoing shipments to ensure they meet specific vendor guide shipping instructions.

· Maintains inventory of shipping materials and supplies needed to perform daily functions of warehouse operations.

· Compares identifying information and counts, weighs, or measures items of outgoing shipments to verify information against bills of lading and pick sheets.

· All warehouse personnel are expected to daily perform 5 S functions.

· Other duties assigned.

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE

· High school diploma or general education degree (GED)

· One to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience will also be considered.

· Working knowledge of shipping/receiving documents.


SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

· Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.

· Ability to write simple correspondence.

· Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
