Hair Stylist

We are seeking a hair stylist to join our growing team at Salon Freya located in Mount Lebanon, PA. If you have a passion for the beauty industry, are an experienced stylist or just starting out, we want to hear from you!  We offer a fun, relaxed atmosphere and welcome individuals who enjoy having fun at work, are self-motivated, and thrive to make our customers look and feel their best! 

Our ideal candidate works quickly and efficiently while maintaining a positive attitude and providing outstanding customer service in an environment that encourages collaboration and learning.

We are closed on Sundays and offer flexible hours the remainder of the week.

Responsibilities: 

• Provide salon services, including haircuts, shampooing, blow drying, coloring, highlights, and balayage.
• Ensure a great customer experience by understanding the customer’s needs and be able to recommend and deliver the latest cuts and styles suitable for them.
• Inform and educate customers on their hair care product needs.
• Ensure that customers with scheduled appointments receive service in a timely manner.
• Keep up with current hair cutting and styling trends.
• Have a willingness to learn, share ideas, and communicate well with our customers.
• Perform general salon duties, including maintaining a clean and sanitary work station. 
• Follow all salon policies and guidelines.

Requirements:

• Ability to effectively communicate with customers and other staff members. 
• Knowledge of current trends in the beauty industry.
• Eagerness to learn and improve your craft.
• Ability to service all hair textures and length.
• Be able to stand for long periods of time.
• Provide a book of your work.

Experience:

• 1 year of professional hair styling experience preferred.

License/Certification:

• Valid Pennsylvania cosmetology license.
