Trimmer Operator - Hardwood Lumber

American Hardwood Industries, a leading producer of hardwood products is seeking a Trimmer Operator for our Amissville, Virginia location. As a Trimmer Operator, you will play a crucial role in our production process by operating machinery to trim and prepare hardwood lumber for shipment to our customers. Trimmer Operator Responsibilities:

• Operate trimming machinery to cut and shape hardwood lumber according to specifications and quality standards.
• Inspect lumber for defects, such as knots, cracks, and irregularities, and remove or trim them as necessary.
• Monitor machinery performance and make adjustments as needed to ensure optimal cutting accuracy and efficiency.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following company safety protocols and procedures.
• Assist with other tasks as assigned by supervisors to support overall production operations.

Trimmer Operator Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in a manufacturing or woodworking environment is preferred but not required.
• Ability to operate machinery safely and efficiently, with attention to detail.
• Strong work ethic and willingness to learn new skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment and follow instructions from supervisors.
• Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects and stand for extended periods.
