Office Controller

Healdsburg Chrysler Dodge Jeep RAM is seeking a highly experienced and detail-oriented Controller to lead our financial and accounting operations. As a Controller, you will play a critical role in managing and overseeing the financial health of the dealership. Key Responsibilities:

1. Financial Oversight:

   • Oversee all financial functions, including financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
   • Ensure the dealership's financial practices align with regulatory requirements and industry standards.

2. Accounting Management:

   • Supervise and manage the accounting department, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger functions.
   • Implement and maintain accounting policies and procedures.

3. Budgeting and Forecasting:

   • Prepare financial forecasts and proactively identify areas for improvement or cost-saving opportunities.

4. Financial Reporting:

   • Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, ensuring compliance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
   • Generate and analyze financial reports to provide key insights to the executive team.

5. Internal Controls:

   • Establish and maintain strong internal controls to safeguard the dealership's assets and prevent fraud or financial mismanagement.
   • Conduct regular financial audits and internal reviews.

6. Regulatory Compliance:

   • Ensure compliance with tax regulations, financial reporting requirements, and other statutory obligations.
   • Collaborate with external auditors and government agencies as needed.

7. Team Management:

   • Lead and mentor the finance and accounting team, fostering a culture of accountability, accuracy, and continuous improvement.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Controller in an automotive dealership or a similar industry.
• Strong financial and accounting acumen, including a deep understanding of financial statements, tax laws, and financial software systems.
