About the Role

The Production Supervisor is responsible for leading the day-to-day operations of production employees ensuring that production delivery, quality, and cost metrics are met. The Production Supervisor will focus on employee productivity, quality, safety, and training typically supervising a team of 30 – 75 employees.

What You’ll Do

  • Provide Work Direction to the Extended Team
  • Communicate overall priorities for the extended team to Team Leads based on:
    • Ship date (day/week/month)             
    • Quantity of units                    
    • Aged units                  
    • Capacity                     
  • Personnel Supervision                     
    • Attendance / OT / PTO Execution                  
    • Training Execution                 
    • Staffing Execution                  
    • Workload Balance                 
    • Performance feedback to Manager  
  • Issue Resolution
  • Manage/escalate issues impacting the extended team and communicate to:
    • Peer supervisor(s)
    • Manager
    • Customer PM(s)
    • NPI PM(s)
  • Process Improvement / 5S Leadership
  • Work with extended team to identify and execute process/tool improvements:
    • Manager
    • Manufacturing Engineering / Development Engineering
    • Maintenance Team

What You Bring

  • Associates degree in IT, or related discipline, and/or equivalent related work experience
  • 2+ years of experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office including Word and Excel
  • Ability to prioritize workload and possess excellent multi-tasking skills
  • Excellent communication (spoken and written) skills, including the ability to explain and present technical information and train/advise/lead line operators
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, flexible environment and take the initiative to learn new tools and concepts quickly
  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to simplify issues/direction and communicate verbally and in writing to all levels of employees.
  • Ability to pull information together from numerous sources and consolidate it into a plan/direction for the organization.
