High School Music Teacher

Assignment Location: Davenport, Nebraska
Title: High School Music Teacher

** United States Work Authorization is Required without VISA Sponsorship**

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver lectures and other instructional methods to students.
  • Teach students about fundamental music concepts, including but not limited to music theory, rhythm, melody, pitch, tempo, history, appreciation, harmony, and ensemble.
  • Instruct, aide, and support students in learning, advancing, and being proficient in playing various instruments.
  • Record student attendance and maintain accurate records of student performance and grades.
  • Engage with students daily and foster a safe, interactive learning environment.
  • Provide students with the opportunity to join ensembles including band, choir, and musicals.
  • Evaluate each students progression within their assigned instrument and their overall contribution to the musical group.
  • Maintain responsibility and care for all school-owned musical instruments and other property.


Position Details:

  • Type: Full-Time (40.00 hours per week)
  • Term: Permanent
  • pensation: Based on experience and education, Salary District Schedule

Education and Licensing Requirements:

  1. Active State of Nebraska Teachers Licensure with endorsements in music
    • Willing to accept new grads or those eligible for a license (Requirement 2).
  2. Hold a bachelors degree or higher in any field.
