Job Description

Job Description
Salary:

We are actively seeking experienced Spray Technicians to join our fertilization team. We're looking for motivated individuals who are able to work independently, safely, and with the customer in mind.

As a member of our fertilization team, Spray Technicians provide fertilization and product application services. This is done either by using a backpack sprayer (which could weigh up to twenty-five pounds) or a typical walk-behind spreader. Applicants must be able to handle the physical demands of the job, including lifting 50-pound bags of fertilizer, and must be self-motivated, as much of the job is done individually.

As part of Team Drost, you’ll get to work on some of Northern Michigan’s most beautiful properties, helping them look their best all season long. You’ll also receive a comprehensive benefit package that includes health, dental, vision, disability and life insurance, 401k, paid time off, and more. At Drost, we pride ourselves on caring for every member of our team, and we will work with you to help you reach your career goals.

Technical Skills and Prior Experience:

  • Licensed Commercial Pesticide Applicator: Core, 3A, 3B, ideal. Willingness to study and pass exam at a future date required.
  • Industry specific certifications such as CGIP ideal.
  • Must possess a strong ability to multi-task, exercise efficiencies in time management, and work well independently.
  • Basic skills with email and basic word processing abilities are helpful.
  • Must possess superior interpersonal skills with clients and team members, and do so with excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Must possess and maintain a valid Michigan Driver’s License. A CDL with class C endorsement is preferred.
