Café/Deli Clerk

Hop Harvest & Vine, a farm-to-table concept restaurant located within Good Harvest Market, Waukesha County's largest independently owned natural and organic grocer, is currently seeking to hire part-time Cafe/Deli clerks.

Our Cafe/Deli clerks learn to work all front of house operations for our restaurant and deli. Cross-training will occur, with the main duties of this role including cashiering, barista, and light bartending work along with other tasks included in our food service department. This opportunity pays $13 per hour, plus tips.

Cafe/Deli clerks must be at least 18 years old and have flexible evening and weekend retail availability.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• Required frequently: standing, walking, kneeling, squatting, bending, reaching, lifting up to 50 lbs., and scrub mopping the floors nightly.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Must be 18+ years old (due to equipment use and alcohol sales).
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as the employee handbook, menu and recipes.
• Ability to prioritize tasks, multi-task, balance friendliness with efficiency, and maintain focus.
• Ability to communicate effectively with customers and co-workers.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

• Previous customer service experience.
• Previous food service experience.
• Previous barista experience.
• Experience or interest in natural food.
