Position Summary:
We are currently seeking a skilled and reliable Irrigation Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of irrigation systems in commercial and residential properties.
Responsibilities:
- Install, maintain, and repair irrigation systems for commercial and residential properties.
- Conduct site assessments to determine the best layout for irrigation systems based on the landscape, plants, and weather conditions.
- Inspect irrigation systems to ensure their proper functioning, identifying any issues or parts that need repair or replacement.
- Interpret blueprints, maps, and instructions to determine work specifications and installation processes.
- Program and adjust irrigation schedules according to seasonal weather conditions to ensure efficient water usage.
- Test irrigation systems to ensure proper distribution and adequate coverage.
- Provide training and direction to other team members when needed.
- Maintain accurate records of all installations, inspections, maintenance procedures, and repairs done.
- Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations regarding irrigation system installations and maintenance.
- Ensure work safety measures are followed at all times.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience as an Irrigation Installer or similar role.
- Knowledge of various types of irrigation systems, equipment, and their installation and maintenance procedures.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and instructions.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Physical stamina and ability to work in various weather conditions.
- Valid driver's license.
- Certifications in irrigation systems installation and repair will be a plus.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift, carry, push and pull equipment and supplies weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to dig, plant, and perform other manual tasks for extended periods.
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
