POSITION SUMMARY:

The Controls Engineer role will provide expertise in electrical controls design and implementation. Improve and upgrade control systems as required by changing technology and increasing complexity of product mix.

  • Writing plc software programs and modifications for engineering projects for line upgrades and changes to existing and incoming machinery.
  • Lead training for all new incoming machinery. Implementing new designs for hardware and software for continuous improvement on all the new assembly lines.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Employees will be trained to all applicable company standards as identified on the company training matrix TR-401

  1. PLC Programming experience using Keyence, Allen Bradley and or Siemens.
  2. Automated Systems and Robotics experience required such as Fanuc and other robots
  3. Write or modify PLC programs using Keyence and Allen Bradley.
  4. Interacts with field service technicians and production to validate control designs and address improvements.
  5. Train technicians and production as necessary to support new designs.
  6. Efficiently and accurately create software for automation equipment.
  7. Works with suppliers to properly specify components, investigate new technology and procure parts/systems for prototype projects.
  8. Perform routine Preventative Maintenance as assigned.

SPECIFICATIONS:

1. Must have over 3 years of experience with controls design, robotic programming, variable speed drive and servo control.

REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS:

The Tool Engineer reports to the Program Manager


Monday- Friday 8:00am-5:00pm
Overtime if needed.
