DESCRIPTION OF WORK

The mental health program specialist will assist in the administration of child/adolescent, family, and adult mental health services in Blair County through the review and analysis of specific policies, and evaluation and monitoring of services. Other duties include interpreting rules, regulations, program policies and objectives: administering or assisting in administering services; facilitating collaborative meetings; and planning community events. In addition, the mental health program specialist will provide technical assistance to contract providers, and participate in program planning, development, implementation, consolidation, and coordination.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment.
  • Work hours are 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Monday - Friday, with 60-minute unpaid lunch.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • Two years of professional-level experience in the field of mental health and a bachelor's degree; or
  • Any equivalent combination of experience and training.

  • Hiring preference for this vacancy will be given to candidates who live within Bedford, Blair, Cambria, Centre, Clearfield, or Huntingdon Counties. If no eligible candidates who live within these counties apply for this position, candidates who reside in other counties may be considered.
  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.
