Job Description

Advocate and support the Corporate WIN Strategy by managing department/shift leaders to ensure that department expectations in regard to
facilities and equipment maintenance and crib functions are met.

Scope/Supervision and Interaction

Responsible for the implementation of facility and production equipment Preventive Maintenance (PM) plans, TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) and predictive maintenance.

The Manager has a critical role in connecting maintenance and operations. This position reports directly to the Div Operations Manager.

Essential Functions:

Responsible for the development, implementation, and day to day supervision of maintenance systems, processes and documentation associated with efficient and High Performing Manufacturing Organizations.

Plans, schedules, assigns and supervises work of the maintenance department. Effectively demonstrates team member competencies and participates in goal-setting, performance feedback, and self-development activities.

Maintains facility equipment and preventative maintenance programs. Satisfies ongoing documentation of testing on security and fire systems.

Maintains inventories and supplies for efficient operation.

Leads teams of Maintenance Technicians in predictive & preventive maintenance and machine repair.

Ensure compliance with safety regulations. This includes ensuring that all maintenance activities are performed in accordance with safety procedures and that all equipment and machinery are maintained according to safety guidelines.

Develop and manage the facility budget, including forecasting costs for maintenance, repairs, and upgrades. Coordinate, oversee and evaluate/accept work performed by outside contractors.

Responsible for managing the purchase requisition, acceptance, evaluation, and setting of safety stock for spare parts, as well as other daily tasks related to spare parts management.

Develop and implement emergency procedures and disaster management plans. This includes planning for events like fires, power outages, and natural disasters.

Coordinate with EHS to conduct safety inspections and implement necessary corrective actions. Ensure the safety management of maintenance, operations personnel, and contractors.

Ensure the facility complies with all local, state, and federal safety regulations. This includes conducting regular safety inspections and implementing safety training programs for employees and contractors.

Responsibilities include interviewing and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; providing appropriate resolutions.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field

5-7 years of facilities, maintenance and/or operations experience

Minimum 5 years of leadership experience

Excellent communication skills.

Ability to manage multiple tasks.

Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.

Ability to effectively apply continuous improvement methods and techniques.

Ability to use standard business software applications and specialized systems (e.g. CAD or environmental monitoring systems).
