The Quality Technician performs routine testing of material that is submitted by Production to the Product Quality department and verifies the accuracy of results. As needed, this individual provides recommendations for batch adjustments during the manufacturing process.

Job Responsibilities

  • Perform in-process testing and recommend batch adjustments.
  • Ability to run, interpret and troubleshoot analytical testing equipment.
  • Perform raw material, chemical, intermediate, and final product testing in assigned product areas and calibrations as needed.
  • Responsible for the disposition of products meeting specifications and direct out-of-spec materials to the appropriate staff member.
  • Maintain lab supplies and adhere to the retain system.
  • Handle hazardous waste to ensure a safe and environmentally responsible work environment.

Work Experience

Preferred

  • Academic and/or industrial lab experience.

Education

Required

  • High school diploma or equivalent plus 30 hours of science.

Preferred

  • Formal high school and/or college Chemistry courses.

Must be a US Citizen or Green Card Holder
