The Opportunity

This position is an onsite opportunity in the Abbott Diabetes Care Division. We are helping people with Diabetes lead healthier, happier lives.   As a global leader in diabetes care, Abbott is constantly working to deliver the highest quality products and unwavering support to our customers.  Consistent and accurate glucose monitoring is the foundation of any diabetes management plan, so we’re committed to continuous improvement in the way patients and professionals measure, track and analyze glucose levels.

As a Senior Sales Administration and Support Analyst, you will work with US Commercial functions on the underlying data needs for various CRM applications, reporting platforms and support them in timely fashion.  This role is responsible for working with data vendors on master data, prescription data and claims data and supporting data consumption. In this role, you will resolve data inquiries by partnering with the data source providers. This role will provide regular updates to senior management on the status of data assets and data projects.  This is an onsite Opportunity in Alameda, CA.

WHAT YOU’LL DO 

  • Internal and Field Stakeholder Communication: Effectively communicate and partner with internal and external stakeholders while addressing their business needs.
  • Problem Solving: Adopt a strategic approach to achieve business objectives by asking strategic questions, developing an action plan, and executing the same.
  • Data Analysis: Maintain subject matter expertise with sales and master data sources and tools, and apply this expertise to deliver high quality data and actionable insights.
  • Process: Consistently implements all Commercial Data Management protocols, procedures, and standards in a timely manner
  • Teamwork and Collaboration: Contribute to the team’s performance, actively collaborate within and beyond the team to design and ensure buy-in around solutions.
  • Work on Support tickets and Data Inquiries coming from Field
  • Integrate new datasets with existing data sources
  • Work on adhoc  reports and analysis leveraging reporting and querying tools such as Tableau, PowerBI, Excel and  SQL Workbench
  • Work with the team to understand data quality issues and resolve them
  • Work with the vendor teams to ensure the deliverables meet the quality
  • Support data change requests to ensure unique and accurate HCP and HCO data
  • Support data needs for targeting, alignment, incentive compensation, analytics and KPIs
  • Understand new data sources and integrate them into overall data ecosystem

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE YOU’LL BRING 

Required 

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and demonstrated competence required; additional post-graduate education may contribute toward the desired years of experience;
  • Typically requires 4-5 years of significant data analysis and reporting  experience  to meet the skills and responsibilities of the position
  • Ability or aptitude to apply in-depth knowledge leadoff Sales Data Integration   and to support related analysis
  • Ability to form and develop interpersonal, professional relationships; display socially and professionally appropriate behavior
  • Ability to operate independently with broad scope of responsibility under minimal supervision and under challenging time constraints
  • Ability to communicate clearly, concisely and accurately with all levels of the organization
  • Ability to facilitate interpretation and understanding of data, identify risks, develop recommendations and implement solutions
  • Demonstrated initiative, problem-solving skills, analytical skills and critical-thinking skills
  • Ability to work independently and in groups
  • Ability to work cross-functionally
  • Ability and aptitude to use various types of databases and other computer software
  • Ability to prioritize
  • Strong organizational skills;

Preferred 

  • 5+years of data management / data analysis experience from working in Pharma / Biotech / Medical Devices in Commercial Operations
  • 3+ years of experience working in syndicated data from Symphony Health Solutions and/or IQVIA
  • 2+ years of experience in working with systems such as Veeva CRM, Salesforce and Veeva open data
  • Experience working with BI tools like Tableau, PowerBI
  • Expertise in leveraging SQL and Excel for Data analysis

The base pay for this position is $95,500.00 – $190,900.00. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
