Essential Functions:

  • Utilizes expertise and experience in staff training best practices, industry requirements and information technology disciplines to develop technical and training solutions in support of Army mission command training
  • Has a high level of diverse technical and industry experience related to a specific skillset
  • Keeps abreast of doctrinal, operational and tactical training methodology as well as technological development and trends
  • Plans, coordinates, and executes unit collective training at echelons ranging from Battalion to Corps
  • Assists unit leadership in planning collective training that will meet their training objectives
  • Identifies any gaps (resources, training, equipment, etc.) and works with the management team to ensure they are filled prior to execution of training
  • Serves in a mentorship or observer/trainer role when requested
  • Gathers observations based on unit actions during the training event and provides input to unit After Action Reviews (AARs)
  • Maintains a comprehensive repository of relevant TTPs

Requirements:

  • Be qualified to operate at least two Army MCIS
  • Advanced knowledge of the principles, methods, and techniques used in technology-based training as well as the use and application of off-the-shelf tools and associated equipment systems
  • United States citizen
  • Active Secret Clearance

Education:

  • Completed the Army Battle Staff Course
  • Digital Master Gunner with ASI 5C identifier

Experience:

  • 8 years' experience in instructional development
  • 8 years' experience Military training and training support
  • Experience with VBS and virtual trainers

Working Conditions: inside office on Government site

Required Travel: Minimal

Job Type: Full-Time, Exempt (Salary)

Work Week: Monday - Friday (may vary based on mission requirements)

Work Hours: 0800 - 1700 (may vary based on mission requirements)

Overtime: as required

Contract Length: More than 1 year
