Job Description
We are searching for an enthusiastic, service-focused hotel front desk agent to join our guest services team. You’ll welcome guests, manage accounts, answer inquiries and field complaints to ensure we deliver an excellent experience to every guest. We are interested in filling several positions of the same role. One of these positions necessitates availability during both daytime and evening hours, while the other requires availability during graveyard shifts. Weekend availability is mandatory for both roles.
Compensation:$16.75 - $17.50 Hourly
Responsibilities:- Manage room bookings in-person, online, and through incoming calls, and answer inquiries about guests’ needs, including questions about available rooms, amenities, room rates, special requests, and rewards programs
- Greet, check-in, and check out guests when they arrive and leave the premises, distribute keys and room assignments, and record credit card information
- Bookkeeping: keep accurate records of all hotel guest account information
- Work with the housekeeping staff to ensure rooms are ready for new guests
- Field customer complaints when necessary
- Maintain confidentiality of guest information
- Verify bill with guest, post necessary charges, adjustments, and payments
- Inform guests about the property and city attractions (restaurant, lounge, health club, museums, parks, events)
- Report any technical issues and maintenance needs
- Excellent time management skills, organizational skills, customer service skills, and interpersonal skills
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and reservation management systems
- 1+ year of hotel industry experience or related job preferred
- Well-versed in taking telephone calls and handling stressful situations
- Take ownership of job duties and responsibilities
- Work with integrity with the team and while alone on shift
- Ability to work with little or no supervision
- Ability to handle financial transactions in the form of credit/debit cards, cash, checks, vouchers, etc.
- Must have flexibility with scheduling
