General Requirements
Follows all standard operating procedure for assigned area
Follow all written and oral instructions deemed necessary from your supervisor to keep the plant operating.
Follow all safety procedures as prescribed in the handbook.
Follow quality policy.
Follows vision and values from company.
May be assigned to other no related or unrelated work as required.
May be assigned to work mandatory overtime.
Demonstrate ability to pass any oral or written test or interview designed for the position.
Essential Job Functions
Operate mold machines
Runs the mold machine as effectively as possible on auto or push buttons as soon as possible.
Operates controls at waist and overhead heights.
Places cores into molds (5- 20 lbs) pull force of 15# and push force of 25
Uses cranes to lift heavier molds from machines rack.
Use an air gun to clean and mold any lose sand.
Assemble mold with bolts.
Must have to operate coring machine per coring machines per coring job description Tools mold machines, hi lo patterns, spray guns.
Rack and Pack Parts
Place small molds in metal bins. (1 to 25 Lbs)
Lifts ir cranes rthe molds on to the rack.
Two people might have to load the larger molds.
Some heavier molds may be moved with the hi-lo.
Separate layers of parts with plywood.
Quality assurance testing
Return heat numbers to storage drawer according to lot number
Weight every 5 to 10 molds, use scale on crane to obtain weight, weighs every two hours.
Visually inspect the patterns
Complete paperwork for molds on each rack.
Log in and out of computers.
Tools: scale and computer.
General Housekeeping
Ice blasts the patterns when needed.
Shovels sands and cleans areas of debris
Maintain all area free of debris
Tools: shovel, broom
Emergencies
Fire extinguisher available in case of fires
Turn of power if machines malfunction
Notifies electrical/maintenance inmediately
Follow evacuation plan per the company handbook.
Essential Job Functions for molding set ups
Transport paterns from racks with hi-lo and place on machine.
Set up and remove jobs from mold machines and replaces heat number sheet after using.
Returns all patterns with hi-lo to the proper location after usinf
