In-home caregiver

Job Summary
Village Caregiving – Bowling Green is seeking an experienced, energetic, and dedicated Part-Time Caregiver to join our team in New Harmony, Indiana. The Caregiver will provide personal care and companionship to elderly patients in their homes by assisting with activities of daily living such as bathing, grooming, light housekeeping, and other duties as assigned. The Caregiver will deliver high-quality home care and prioritize the safety and health of all patients.

Responsibilities
- Assist with day-to-day activities of elderly patients, including bathing, grooming, light housekeeping, and meal preparation
- Monitor patient health status and report changes to supervisor or appropriate healthcare professionals
- Follow individual care plans, respecting patient rights and independence while developing meaningful relationships with patients
- Ensuring patient safety and accuracy when administering medications and other medical tasks
- Collaborating with team members to develop and implement individualized care plans

Requirements
- High school diploma (or equivalent)
- Preferably at least 1 year of experience in a relevant position
- Current certifications in First Aid and CPR
- Ability to lift, transport, and maneuver patients
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Patience and empathy for the elderly
- Valid driver’s license and access to reliable transportation
