Irrigation Service Technician

This position requires prior experience working with both residential and commercial irrigation systems. $18 - $22 hourly

• Operate and manage irrigation systems, including turning them on and off
• Conduct inspections and testing of Backflow preventers, if certified
• Regularly check and make necessary adjustments and repairs to irrigation systems throughout the season
• Install new irrigation systems and low-voltage landscape lighting systems
• Identify and mark irrigation heads for landscape work
• Perform excavation work as needed for repair or installation purposes
• Maintain effective communication with clients regarding their irrigation systems
• Willingness to assist with snow removal tasks
• Provide assistance with equipment and shop maintenance in the office, if required
• Test irrigation systems for potential issues and troubleshoot as needed
• Maintain and organize tools and equipment used for irrigation services
• Ensure cleanliness and proper maintenance of the work vehicle
• Support inventory management activities as necessary
• Assist in other departments as required

• Missouri Backflow Certification and Journeyman Lawn Irrigation Installer License preferred but not required (ability to work towards if you do not currently have one)
• Operation of Ditch Witch or the ability to learn
• Capable of working weekends and extended hours during busy periods
• Good communication skills
• Attention to detail is a must
• Class E Driver's license or ability to obtain
• Represent yourself and the company professionally
• Good attitude and hardworking
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen
• Ability to work with a team of people and on your own
• Good attendance
• Work outdoors, in extreme temperatures, and in adverse weather
• Requires physical stamina
• Work in all kinds of weather conditions
• High School Diploma or GED
