Assembly Associate
Locations (three available locations)
- Southside Richmond
- East End Richmond/Henrico
- East End Richmond/Sandston
Summary
Completes the assembly of prepared medical surgical trays by adding parts according to specific instructions, procedures and guidelines prepared by customers. Places major emphasis on quality and strict adherence to specified standards.
Responsibilities
- Stages incoming parts in accordance with customer order.
- Combines parts in accordance with customer instructions and procedures.
- Packages completed assembly in accordance with customer specifications.
- Places completed assembly on pallet in staging area for shipment.
- Obtains required authorization to work in a sterile environment through completion of in house training based on customer specifications.
- Labels product in accordance with customer specifications.
- Places major emphasis on accuracy and productivity in a detail oriented environment.
- Informs supervisor of known discrepancies, issues, and/or problems.
- Recommends improvements to processes, procedures, practices, etc.
- Works in warehouse where temperature varies in accordance with outside temperature.
- Maintains work area in a neat and safe manner at all times.
- Maintains excellent attendance to ensure duties are performed.
- Performs additional duties as assigned.
Education and Experience
- High school or equivalent education.
- 1 year of production experience preferred.
- Lifts or moves items weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Stands at work station for periods up to 3 hours.
- Must be able to follow verbal and written instruction in English.
- Must be able to work with a minimum of supervision.
