Job Summary:

Reporting to a District Manager, the Branch Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operations of Cast Crete’s Sarasota Branch. Those responsibilities include sales, customer service, warehouse, inventory management, logistics, rebar operations, fleet maintenance, safety, and reporting. The Branch Manager will ensure the delivery of quality customer service and the achievement of sales, delivery, and profitability goals. The Branch Manager must be proactive, have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and be extremely detail oriented.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Directs branch team to ensure timely and accurate management of all warehouse operations including receiving, stocking, order pulling, delivery, and customer service.
  • Ensure inventory management activities are performed as per company procedure and policies.
  • Oversee day-to-day rebar manufacturing operations. Implement and sustain continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and quality.
  • Identify training needs and opportunities; develop and implement a plan for meeting those needs.
  • Reviews inventory on a regular basis to ensure that the inventory is correct, and the products are in-house.
  • Collaborate with corporate sales, purchasing, dispatch, and logistics teams to manage inventory and customer delivery needs.
  • Maintain and develop positive relationships with existing and prospective customers, demonstrating excellent customer service and setting an example for other staff.
  • Responsibility for overall hiring and training all branch team members.
  • Oversight of all safety protocols and ensure all safety procedures are in full compliance with corporate directives. Ensure adherence to all corporate training programs.
  • Maintain repairs on equipment and trucks as needed in compliance with safety rules and DOT regulations.
  • Oversee and ensure all logistics-related operations comply with applicable environmental, health, safety, and other regulatory rules and regulations.
  • Maintains communication with the District Manager and corporate office to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures as well as state and federal laws and regulations.
  • Operate a forklift to handle company material as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

  • High School Diploma
  • An undergraduate degree in business, supply chain, operations management, logistics or related discipline preferred.
  • Minimum three years of experience managing a branch or distribution facility, preferably in building materials, industrial supplier, construction, or related industry.

  • Excellent leadership and management skills.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Strong organizational, time management skills and ability to multi-task.
  • Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines in a timely manner.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team.
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Experience in building materials, construction, or related industry is helpful.
  • The physical demands of this role require bending, squatting, crouching, reaching, lifting 50 pounds or more, and working indoors/outdoors when required by the job.
  • Proficient in Microsoft office
  • Experienced with forklift operation.
  • Understanding of CDL regulations and requirements
  • Understanding of Vehicle/Fleet Maintenance.
