Part time Customer Service Rep
Local bank seeks a part time Customer Service Rep to work in multiple locations throughout NW Illinois. The Customer Service Rep will handle a variety of customer account transactions and focus on sales development and relationship building. The Customer Service Rep will be responsible for a promoting a full range of banking products and services to existing and prospective customers.
Hours: Must be able to work 15-29 hours/week, and should ideally have open availability 7:45 am – 5:30 pm, Monday through Friday, as well as Saturday mornings, 7:45 am – 12:30 pm, on an as needed basis.
Pay: $14-16/hour DOE
Customer Service Rep Responsibilities:
- Conduct accurate, prompt, and efficient customer transactions
- Receive checks and cash for deposits to accounts
- Assist in the bank-by-mail function and night deposit envelopes
- Issue money orders, cashier checks and license stickers
- Balance cash drawer
- Identify, promote, and explain products and services
- Prepare and maintain account paperwork
- Help answer phones; assist with scanning documents
- Assist customers to the safe deposit vault area
Customer Service Rep Qualifications:
- Knowledge of MS Office applications: Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Excellent interpersonal communication and organizational skills
- High School diploma or equivalent
- 1-2 years’ experience in related field
