JOB DESCRIPTION: The Plumber is responsible to ensure the on-time, high-quality installation and repairs of pipes, fittings, and hydronic systems according to specifications and code.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assemble pipe sections, tubing, or fittings, using couplings, clamps, screws, bolts, cement, plastic solvent, caulking, or soldering
• Review blueprints, building codes, or specifications to determine work details or procedures
• Locate and mark the position of pipe installations, connections, passage holes, or fixtures instructions using measuring instruments such as rulers or levels.
• Measure, cut, thread, or bend pipe using hand or power tools or machines such as pipe cutters or pipe-threading machines
• Install pipe, fittings, valves, hydronics and HVAC equipment, using the required tools.
• Follow applicable codes for all associated equipment
• Gather equipment and part information and perform associated start up
• Cooperate with other trades on the project to complete the project
• Keep physical jobsite organized and tidy to ensure a safe professional work area.
• Maintain knowledge of local/national codes and industry standards.
• Ensure that all necessary inspections are made through all phases of work.
• Safely operate and maintain company equipment as well as monitoring the use and timely return of rented equipment
• Assist, manage and train other Apprentice mechanics as required
• Assist with equipment installations as required

• Able to tolerate varying weather conditions
• Operating a motor vehicle
• Operating power or hand tools
• Ability to work an unusual schedule.
• Work within the established Climate Control Company protocol and procedures

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION

• High school graduate or equivalent or tenured experience
• Knowledge of residential and mechanical codes

WORK EXPERIENCE

• A minimum of 2-year experience in residential plumbing or pipe fitting work.

HOURLY WAGE: $25.00 - $48.00/Hour+ Benefits DOE
