Mixer Main Operator

Job Purpose: Setup and operate assigned machine(s) to weigh, mix and/or blend rubber and other chemicals into a homogeneous mixture.

Job Requirements:

· Load specified amounts of materials as directed by SOP into machinery or equipment.

· Transfer materials, supplies, or products between work areas, using powered/non-powered transportation equipment and/or hand tools.

· Examine materials, ingredients, or products per SOP to ensure conformance to established standards.

· Operate machines per SOP to mix or blend ingredients to specific standard conditions.

· Clean and maintain equipment as directed targeting a 5S approach.

· Monitor accessory equipment, such as pumps or conveyors, to assure compliance to all standards of production process.

· Follow work orders to determine production schedule, specifications and compliance to standards.

· Weigh or measure materials, ingredients, or products to ensure conformance to requirements.

· Collect samples of materials or products for laboratory testing.

· Unload mixtures into containers or onto conveyors for further processing.

· Dislodge and clear jammed materials or other items from machinery or equipment as needed while maintaining SOP for safety and quality.

· Maintain safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures; complying with legal regulations.

· Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading technical publications.

· Notifies maintenance department of machine malfunction.

Openings are on 1st shift (7am-7pm) ) and are subject to change based on BCM production schedule
