JOB DESCRIPTION: The Plumber is responsible to ensure the on-time, high-quality installation and repairs of pipes, fittings, and hydronic systems according to specifications and code.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assemble pipe sections, tubing, or fittings, using couplings, clamps, screws, bolts, cement, plastic solvent, caulking, or soldering
- Review blueprints, building codes, or specifications to determine work details or procedures
- Locate and mark the position of pipe installations, connections, passage holes, or fixtures instructions using measuring instruments such as rulers or levels.
- Measure, cut, thread, or bend pipe using hand or power tools or machines such as pipe cutters or pipe-threading machines
- Install pipe, fittings, valves, hydronics and HVAC equipment, using the required tools.
- Follow applicable codes for all associated equipment
- Gather equipment and part information and perform associated start up
- Cooperate with other trades on the project to complete the project
- Keep physical jobsite organized and tidy to ensure a safe professional work area.
- Maintain knowledge of local/national codes and industry standards.
- Ensure that all necessary inspections are made through all phases of work.
- Safely operate and maintain company equipment as well as monitoring the use and timely return of rented equipment
- Assist, manage and train other Apprentice mechanics as required
- Assist with equipment installations as required
Physical Requirements
- Lifting
- Climbing (ladders, stairs, etc.)

- Able to tolerate varying weather conditions
- Operating a motor vehicle
- Operating power or hand tools
- Ability to work an unusual schedule.
- Work within the established Climate Control Company protocol and procedures
EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION
- High school graduate or equivalent or tenured experience
- Knowledge of residential and mechanical codes
WORK EXPERIENCE
- A minimum of 2-year experience in residential plumbing or pipe fitting work.
HOURLY WAGE: $25.00 - $48.00/Hour+ Benefits DOE
