Data Scientist: Education Outcomes

Job Description

An education technology and analytics company is looking for an individual with a strong proficiency in data science to join our team in compiling, analyzing, and sharing data and results from educational initiatives for healthcare professionals. Highly competitive salary commensurate with experience.

Responsibilities include:

• Preparation of compelling interpretation of outcomes results.
• Develop multi-faceted data analysis solutions based on predictive, educational, or behavioral factors via relevant modeling techniques
• Work on data sets of structured, semi-structured, unstructured data to discover data insights.
• Develop research-oriented publications.
• Evolve data platform and tools, from data collection to data processing, exploration, visualization, and modeling.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 3-5 years experience in education outcomes analysis
• MA/MS in education, psychology, statistics, data science, or a related field required (PhD, a plus)
• Expertise in quantitative research methods and analysis required, particularly including statistical skills needed to conduct analysis of education outcomes
• Familiarity with cluster analysis and other machine learning algorithms
• Proficient in Tableau (portfolio required)
• Excellent written and oral communication skills -- ability to present effectively to diverse audiences and build understanding of key research insights and data
• Strong knowledge of publication-style research reporting and writing
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
• Fluency in all Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
• Proficient in a statistical software package (e.g., Python, SPSS, STATA, SAS, R) required.

Note: This is a hybrid role with 1-2 days in the NY office required each week
