Shipping & Receiving Forklift Driver - 1st Shift

Full-time shipping & receiving forklift driver needed for first shift. Prior experience with forklift operation and ability to demonstrate safe forklift operation during an interview is a must.

Essential Functions:

* Must be able to drive a variety of different types of forklifts.

* Responsible for loading/unloading freight into/from semi-trailers.

* Responsible for coordinating the storage of received freight and/or delivering freight to other departments, as appropriate.

* Must effectively use a variety of hand tools.

* Must have some clerical skills (reading part numbers, recording serial numbers, counting inventory, entering information into a computer terminal).

* Responsible for checking parts to verify accuracy and quality prior to completion of receiving.

* Must be able to lift parts of varying weights onto work area.

* Must be able to pick orders accurately and then pack them appropriately for shipping, as needed.

* Must be able to recognize any omitted parts or procedures of shipping process.

* Must be aware of supply of necessary parts required for completion of order.

* Must be able to keep an organized work area.

* Must be constantly alert to potential hazards and keep a safety awareness attitude.
