POSITION SUMMARY

Accountable for overseeing grain quality, staffing and safety compliance initiatives. Responsible for expense management and inventory programs to maintain and enhance profitable operation of location as well as budget management. Manages a variety of employees. Carries out supervisory functions in accordance with company policies and applicable laws.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Coordinates distribution, maintaining quality, and sales in accordance with company policies, principles, and procedures on grain commodities.
  • Directs employees in all aspects of operations including unloading, loading, and sales of grain commodities.
  • Develops best practices for our products, machines, and employees.
  • Works in conjunction with grain merchandisers to implement programs in line with company policies and mission.
  • Understands, complies with, and enforces company policies.
  • Responsible for maintaining a profitable location through expense management, revenue maximization, and risk management.
  • Ability to conduct annual formal performance reviews with full-time employees.
  • Manages staffing for the location and hires appropriately while placing candidates in positions of best fit.
  • Willing to learn all aspects of the business and be prepared to proficiently execute any task that is required.
  • Acts as a mentor to all full-time staff and interns while helping them progress as employees and individuals.
  • Utilize forecasts and software programs while relying on experience to help leverage inventory control.
  • Build and grow the team through continuous improvement efforts.
  • Additional responsibilities as directed by upper-management.
  • Adheres to all safety regulations, requirements, policies and procedures, including OSHA regulations, the vehicle policy and fleet safety program and DOT regulations.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent Associates or Technical Degree and two years related experience.
  • Eligible to work in the United States.
  • Ability to perform physical job duties which may include bending, lifting up to 50lbs, kneeling, climbing, crawling, and twisting, with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Ability to work in varied indoor and outdoor conditions which may include heat, cold, dust, loud noise, etc., with the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) including a respirator.
  • Ability to work in elevated areas (4 feet and above)
  • Ability to work in confined spaces.
  • Ability to work overtime, including weekends, holidays, or different shifts.

The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
