The Position

We are looking for an experienced Content Writer with a legal focus to join our firm. In this role, the ideal candidate will play a crucial role in crafting compelling and informative content that effectively communicates important messaging. This person will use his/her writing skills, conceptual ability, and strategic thinking to bring to life a wide array of content strategies that display the firm in a positive, professional, productive, and fun light.

Responsibilities

• Develop clear and engaging content tailored for various platforms, including the firm's website, social media posts, blogs and legal memos, preparing PowerPoints for webinars and other campaigns/materials.
• Develop thoughtful UX copy that is clear, concise, engaging, informative, and persuasive for various materials to be used internally and externally, while proofreading work for accuracy and quality.
• Proficiency in adapting tone and style to own message consistency across all platforms, translating tone as needed to engage the intended audience and accurately reflect the firm's voice.
• Manage calendar and delivery of all content and projects from start up through completion and posting.
• Collaborate with firm Partners and cross-functional teams to interpret project objectives, creative direction and technical information to ensure alignment and create persuasive copy concepts.
• Develop an understanding of marketing and advertising strategies.
• Effectively present and clearly communicate concepts and materials internally.
• Stay current on industry trends by regularly performing market research and competitive analysis to identify best practices and innovation.
• Ability to work independently with effective time management in a fast-paced environment.
• Adapt to evolving project needs and perform other job-related tasks as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in marketing, English, Journalism, Communications or a related field. A law degree or legal background is a significant plus.
• Minimum 3-5 years of proven experience in legal writing with a strong understanding of legal terminology, concepts, and industry trends.
• Excellent writing, editing and proofreading skills, with meticulous attention to grammar and accuracy; excellent oral communication and presentation skills.
• Autonomous, self-starter who asks great questions, seeks information and can work quickly and efficiently without a lot of handholding.
• Excellent time-management and organizational skills; ability to manage multiple projects and must be deadline-oriented to write successfully under tight deadlines.
• Must have an understanding of information design, keyword research and implementation, SEO optimization standards and web standards.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and social media platforms.
