Production Scheduler

Summary
To provide and maintain the daily production schedule, gather and report the data necessary
to determine the efficiency of plant operations. Coordinates shipping of finished goods and
all inbound trucks. Drafts the shipping schedule for PMC - GF, to ensure strict compliance
with customer's need through the integration of forecasting, delivery dates, and inventories
and scheduling. Expedites the shipment of finished goods to customers on time at the best
possible cost.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
• Assists with inventory tracking and counting of all products.
• Maintains current carrier log and files, updating as needed.
• Manages inbound and outbound freight.
• Schedules outgoing shipments on the shipping schedule.
• Schedules incoming deliveries on the shipping schedule.
• Records receiving documents. Records shipping documents.
• Resolves shipping problems in a timely fashion.
• Reconciles pallet balance of customers/carriers.
• Maintains a minimum and maximum stock level of pallets.
• Seeks out new freight carriers and incorporates them into the carrier log.
• Maintains shipping schedule. Monitors and maintains packaging inventories.
• Maintains perpetual inventories.
• Records receiving / shipping documents of ingredients.
• Determines customer's needs via orders.
• Prepares and updates production schedule.
• Monitors usage of additives, inventory, and production schedule.
• Generates purchase orders and schedules deliveries accordingly.
• Tracks and compares pricing of raw materials.
• Monitors inventory reports and maintains inventories, daily, to meet production
scheduling needs.
