Carpenter Job Summary:

We are looking to hire a successful candidate who has a high school diploma. Preferred some maintenance, turnaround, construction, or mechanical experience and knowledge of hand tools. Must be able to pass a criminal background screening and drug testing. Some job duties include actively supporting the Company’s commitment to safety and its Core Values, Representing the Company at all times with high moral standards while adhering to the Company’s Code of Business Conduct and Ethics, working well with supervision, furnish tools and materials when needed, work with various hand and woodshop tools, assist in fence lumber staining and dipping, fire Watch, bottle Watch or Hole Watch duties, operate limited types of equipment, thorough knowledge of roles and responsibilities of the craft being supported, identify safety hazards you or other employees may be subject to and take all necessary corrective action to eliminate or minimize hazards, perform all other job-related duties as requested by supervision.

Carpenter Job Responsibilities and Duties:

Knowledge of arithmetic, basic geometry, and their applications to carpentry

Able to work at elevated heights.

Must be able to learn the principles, methods, tools, and equipment used in the trade.

Able to follow oral and written instructions.

Solid organization skills

Ability to safely operate hand and power tools.

Unload materials and other equipment at a worksite

Set up equipment to be used at the job site.

Assist with framing and other building tasks.

Keep worksites clean and safe.

Perform a variety of tasks at the construction site.

Remove debris, trash, and dangerous materials from the construction site.

Maintain tools and equipment daily.

Carpenter Skills and Qualification:

High school diploma or GED

Mechanical skills and organization skills

Physical stamina and listening skills.

Must be able to bend and lift lumber including 6x6 and 8x8 posts.

Meet the physical requirements of the role which includes occasional lifting up to 70 pounds, bending, kneeling, and twisting throughout work period.

Occasional long-term standing, sitting, and walking during work.

Math skills, time management, and team player.

Detail-oriented and good verbal skills.

Must possess a minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar field.

Strong verbal and oral communication skills

Attention to detail, prioritization, and time management.

Quick learner with a positive attitude.
