We are currently recruiting for a Control Room Manager for our Marietta, Ohio location.

As the Control Room Manager at Ergon Midstream, LLC, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the safe and efficient operation of pipeline activities in the ORV (Ohio River Valley) region. Your responsibilities will encompass a wide range of tasks, including compliance with PHMSA regulations, FERC reporting, personnel management, and maintaining various records related to pipeline operations.

Control Room Manager Responsibilities:

PHMSA Compliance:

  • Ensure compliance with all PHMSA (Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration) regulations.
  • Oversee and maintain all required record-keeping activities mandated by PHMSA.

Daily Pipeline Operations:

  • Manage daily pipeline batch tracking and inventory control.
  • Coordinate barge scheduling and pipeline batching activities with Operations personnel.

ROW / Air Patrol Reports:

  • Oversee Right of Way (ROW) and Air Patrol reporting requirements.
  • Ensure that corrective actions are taken for any Air Patrol findings.

Annual Maintenance:

  • Coordinate and assist in overseeing the planning and execution of annual maintenance activities for pipeline assets.

Valve Inspections:

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records related to regular inspections of pipeline valves to ensure functionality and compliance.

Cathodic Protection Surveys:

  • Manage records related to cathodic protection surveys to safeguard pipeline integrity.

Control Room Records:

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of control room activities and communications.

Pipeline Operator OQ Records:

  • Oversee and ensure the qualification records of pipeline operators.

Pipeline Repair Records:

  • Manage records related to pipeline repairs, ensuring comprehensive documentation.

Public Awareness:

  • Coordinate public awareness programs to inform and educate the community about pipeline activities.
  • Manage records related to public awareness, ensuring comprehensive documentation.

Crossing Agreements:

  • Initiate the execution of crossing agreements with the Corporate Department as well as manage and maintain the agreements with relevant stakeholders.

FERC Reporting:

  • Ensure timely and accurate reporting to the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC).

Control Room Operator Staffing / Coverage / Training:

  • Oversee control room operator staffing, coverage, and training programs.

Lead Compliance Person:

  • Act as the lead compliance person for all pipeline-related audits, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements.

Manuals and Plans:

  • Develop, update, and maintain operation and maintenance manuals, spill response plans, integrity management plans, and control room management plans.

Control Room Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (Engineering, Environmental Science, etc.).
  • Minimum of two years of experience in pipeline operations and management.
  • In-depth knowledge of PHMSA regulations and industry best practices.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Experience with FERC reporting and compliance audits.
  • Ability to manage a diverse range of responsibilities effectively.
