Essential Functions:
- Utilizes expertise and experience in staff training best practices, industry requirements and information technology disciplines to develop technical and training solutions in support of Army mission command training
- Keeps abreast of doctrinal, operational and tactical training methodology as well as technological developments and trends
- Plans, coordinates, and executes unit collective training at ranging echelons ranging from Battalion to Corps
- Assists unit leadership in planning collective training at training that will meet their training objectives
- Identifies any gaps (resource, training, equipment, etc.) and works with the management team to ensure they are filled prior to execution of training
- Serves in a mentorship or observer/trainer role when requested
- Gathers observations based on unit actions during the training event and provides input to unit After Action Reviews (AARs)
- Maintains a comprehensive repository of relevant TTPs
Requirements:
- Advanced knowledge of principles, methods, and techniques used in technology-based training as well as the use and application of off-the-shelf tools and associated equipment and systems
- Be qualified to operate at least two Army MCIS
- United States citizen
- Active Secret Clearance
Education:
Experience:
- 8 years' related experience in instructional development
- 8 years' experience with Military training and training support
- 3 years' experience of program/project management
- Have completed the Army Command & General Staff College (CGSC), Intermediate Level Education (ILE), the Army Warrant Officer Advanced Course, the Army Battle Staff Course, served as a Digital Master Gunner with ASI 5C identifier, or served as an Operations Sergeant Major or Operations Sergeant in a Battalion, Brigade, Division or Corps command post
Working Conditions: inside office on Government site
Required Travel: Minimal
Job Type: Full-Time, Exempt (Salary)
Work Week: Monday - Friday (may vary based on mission requirements)
Work Hours: 0800 - 1700 (may vary based on mission requirements)
Overtime: as required
Contract Length: More than 1 year
