This limits their ability to participate in everyday life, such as access to telemedicine, teleworking (working remotely), and online education. These unserved or underserved homes have slow and debilitating internet connections that prevent them from accessing modern entertainment options like streaming TV, gaming, and family video sessions. Wecom, Inc aims to bridge this digital gap and provide high-speed fiber optics-based internet.

As a Wecom Direct Sales Representative, you will work in your assigned zones in the field. You will be able to connect with community members by working in the field in your assigned zones, marketing events, social media, and other activities to help generate sales.

This is a transactional role, and we expect you to maintain a successful activity level. You aim to engage with at least 20 new potential customers and run five to six daily presentations. This does not include your ability to generate leads through referral programs, social media engagements, and other marketing-enabled events.

What you’ll do:

  • Be in your assigned zones every day for prospecting activities. These activities include in-person encounters, leaving door tags, making follow-up phone calls and emails, using social media, and attending marketing-sponsored events.
  • Be able to work the “money” hours 10:00 am – 7:00 pm daily and at least two Saturdays per month.
  • Focus on selling Wecom Fiber internet services to newly passed homes/residents and transitioning existing fixed wireless customers to fiber optic internet.
  • Build your local brand, generating relationships throughout the community.
  • We want you to be a solution-minded individual and apply our products in a consultative approach.
  • Be an expert in the competitive environment and be able to compare the competitive offerings while successfully positioning Wecom Fiber as the best Internet provider in the area.
  • Participate and host community events and activities that promote Wecom Fiber’s solutions. These events include trade fairs, community events, informational gatherings, etc., during non-business hours - evenings and weekends.
  • Help provide support to customers as needed.
  • Track and manage activity, next steps, and results via CRM/sales software and provide daily/weekly summaries to leadership.

Requirements

What you’ll have:

  • Curiosity of technology and how the internet works.
  • Motivated - self-driven individual with the desire to hunt for new opportunities.
  • Clear and effective communication, listening, and organizational skills.
  • A valid Driver’s License. Reliable personal vehicle. And an acceptable driving record.
  • High School Graduate or GED or equivalent work experience
  • Desire to work outside with minimal time in an office.
  • Evenings/weekends/holidays availability as they are your most significant opportunities to sell.
  • Understanding of computer systems, typing skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office, i.e., Word, Excel, and PowerPoint…preferred
  • Other duties as assigned.

Nice to have but not required:

  • Prior outside sales experience is beneficial.
  • Functioning knowledge of fiber optic broadband technology, sales processes, and CRM systems.
