Counter Sales Assistant

The Counter Sales Assistant - This individual displays excellent teamwork, and self-drive to accomplish the tasks assigned to him/her. This individual is someone who can work alongside multiple departments to ensure ProSource is providing the best possible customer service to all customers entering the Counter Sales Department.

Job Summary: The Counter Sales Assistant is responsible for assisting the Counter Sales Department in the pulling, staging, and potential exchange of material for all call-ahead tickets printed before the customer arrives.

Duties and Responsibilities: • Pull any and all pre-ordered tickets (Will-Calls 1,2,3, EPU printed by Outside/Inside Sales, etc.) accurately, and efficiently, with the assistance of the Warehouse Department • Effectively communicate with the Warehouse Manager, and Sales Ticket Puller(s) to ensure that all call ahead orders are completed before the customer arrives • When there is an increase in customer volume, the Counter Sales Assistant is tasked to assist the Counter Sales Department in whatever the Department Manager deems top priority in that moment • Assisting the Counter Sales Department with the maintenance of the Replenishment Task List • Assisting in the distribution of the “Go-Backs” items to their assigned warehouse location • Have a working knowledge of the layout of both the Counter Sales and Warehouse Departments • Maintain the cleanliness of the counter, and Will-Call staging area

Required Skills/Abilities: • High School diploma preferred • Effective communicator • Ability to prioritize tasks • Customer Service skills (when requested)

Physical Requirements: • Must be able to stand and work for prolonged hours of the day • Must be able to lift and carry 40 pounds at a time • Must be able to safely navigate throughout the warehouse and counter areas
