Addiction Treatment Group Therapy Facilitator

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Group Therapy Facilitator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in facilitating group therapy sessions for individuals struggling with mental health and substance abuse issues.

Job Summary:

Under the direction of the Program Director, the Group Therapy Facilitator, or teacher, will teach program curriculum in 1-3 hour increments, engaging with clients on various recovery-related topics. Groups may be facilitated in a traditional classroom or telehealth setting.

Notes are to reflect the classroom topic, atmosphere, body language, environment as well as individual participation and engagement.

Job Duties:

• Facilitate group therapy sessions for patients in the Intensive Outpatient Program.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of patient progress
• Ensure group therapy sessions are aligned with client treatment plans.
• Ensure a safe and supportive environment for all clients.
• Maintain proper documentation of client progress including overall progress, body language, participation, and engagement
• Participate in program development and evaluation.
• Group classes may take place in person or via telehealth sessions

Qualifications:

• Peer Support Certification
• CPR and First Aid Certified

• Minimum one year sobriety (if in recovery from addiction)

• Experience as a Behavioral Health Technician, counseling, social work, or a related field.
• At least 1 year of experience in facilitating group therapy sessions.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Ideal candidate will be Relatable and Respectful, and have the ability to be both Loving and Direct
