WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

We are looking for dedicated, creative, and caring individuals to join our growing team of Direct Support Professionals. The ideal individual will be able to work independently and in a team environment to provide the highest level of support to our service recipients. The candidate will be expected to work 12-hour shifts and every other weekend.


ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

As a Direct Support Professional, you will have the responsibility of maintaining a safe, supportive, and therapeutic environment for all service recipients. The essential functions of the job include, but are not limited to, the following (a full job description is available upon request):


· Devote attention to the care and development of the service recipients within the facility or home-setting.

· Assist, monitor, and mentor individuals with preparation of daytime activities, such as but not limited to, encouraging good personal hygiene and proper community/in-home behaviors.

· Encourage community integration by assisting individuals in joining community organizations of their choice.

· Assist with daily cares when needed with the service recipient, such as toileting, bathing, feeding, etc.

· Responsible for reading and understanding the Individual Abuse Prevention Plan for each service recipient. Each recipient is unique and will have their own plan published in their record book kept in a designated location of the home they are living in.

Requirements:

JOB QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, & REQUIREMENTS

· Ability to work in a home-like setting.

· Ability to work without immediate supervision.

· Strong verbal and written communication.

· Ability to be Tuberculosis tested if deemed necessary for the house/setting.

· Must have a high school diploma or GED (REQUIRED).

· Must be 18 years of age or older.

· Must be able to pass a criminal background check.

· Must be able to be fingerprinted if necessary.

· Valid driver's license.

· CPR and First Aid certification preferred.

· MANDT and CPI certification preferred.

*The pay for all positions is based on the location hired for. The base rate of pay is $18.25 per hour with all locations having shift adjustments based on the location and shift scheduled.
**Full and part-time employment status is dependent upon the location and shift hired for.
***Some asleep overnight shifts may be paid at a lower rate.
