Job DescriptionCompany Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Mechanical Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the entire product lifecycle from concept design to production using Assembly to Order (ATO) principles. You will leverage your expertise in CAD software, machine layout, and assembly/design processes to ensure efficient and cost-effective manufacturing of our products.
Responsibilities:
- Utilize advanced CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) to create and detail complex mechanical components and assemblies.
- Develop and maintain accurate and complete engineering documentation, including assembly drawings, parts lists, and bills of materials.
- Collaborate with manufacturing engineers and production teams to optimize machine layouts and assembly processes for ATO efficiency.
- Analyze manufacturability of designs and recommend improvements to ensure cost-effectiveness and production feasibility.
- Participate in design reviews, providing technical expertise and identifying potential issues.
- Stay up-to-date on the latest mechanical engineering technologies and best practices.
- Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams (engineering, manufacturing, sales) to ensure project success.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum 1+ years of experience in a mechanical engineering role with a focus on Assembly to Order processes.
- Proven proficiency in advanced CAD software.
- Understanding of mechanical design principles, including tolerance analysis, materials selection, and failure analysis.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Experience with project management principles a plus.
