Traveling Safety Coordinator

RIS is looking to add to our growing team! We are seeking a Safety Coordinator who is open/willing to be hands on with our Installation Team. Our Team works with customers to meet expectations and deliver installation services in a safe but timely manner.

Responsibilities:

• Monitoring and evaluating daily operations and planning procedures to mitigate risks and improve safety overall site safety.
• Knowledge of Osha requirements and labor laws
• Ensuring JSA’s and STA’s are filled out correctly
• Creating new JSA’s and STA’s as new work fronts or tools are added
• Ensuring meaningful STA Meetings are being done daily
• Inspecting building work areas, individual work fronts, and common areas to ensure the environment is safe for all employees
• Monitoring staff to evaluate if health and safety is not at risk
• Assessing equipment and machinery to gauge if they are in safe, working order; this will be done by daily Checks.
• Investigating on-site accidents, reporting and documenting findings
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• 1-2 years of safety related experience
• Possess a current Osha 30 Certification as well as First Aid Training
• Strong relationship building, interpersonal, and leadership skills
• Able to read and write, English and Spanish
