Second Forger

Keystone Forging Company is seeking full time Second Forgers. This position performs hard physical labor. Candidates must be able to work as a team in a loud, vibrating environment utilizing heavy equipment and tools. We offer on the job training.

Job Duties: Bending and picking up steel bars from a can and placing the bars onto the furnace feed unit. After the steel bar is heated; tongs are utilized to place the hot steel onto a die for forging. While using the tongs the steel is moved through a series of impressions to complete the forging process.

Adjusting the equipment using wrenches and sledgehammers is required.

Use of forklift.

Physical Requirements:

• Heavy lifting, pulling, pushing, swinging, and carrying.
• Bending, twisting, and reaching.
• Exposure to extreme hot and cold temperatures and humidity due to the heating of steel.
• Walking, standing, and lifting the entire day.
