Job Description

******CHEP Services is hiring for General Labor/Pallet Sorter 3rd Shift******

Get out ahead of the rest of the pack on your job search.  We are looking for hardworking employees willing to learn, and who possess a good attendance history. We have a 3rd shift position available in our Ashley, IN location (inside the Family Dollar Distribution Center). Position starts out at $18.66 per hour + a $2.00 an hour attendance incentive. Our 3rd shift runs Sunday-Thursday nights, 9pm-5am.

Requirements of the position:

• Standing, bending, lifting for a little over ½ of the shift

• Able to lift, or assist in lifting 25-75 pounds repeatedly

• Performing the job in a safe manner within the company’s process

• Following training and direction from shift leads, site manager

• Reporting any unsafe conditions.

• Helping improve operations by mentioning possible improvements

• Performing general housekeeping throughout the shift

• Wearing all required PPE all the time

What we are looking for:

• Strong attendance

• Willingness to perform duties of the position

• Drive to grow within the company

• Able to work as a team member with other employees

• Forklift experience is a plus. Training on forklift and EPJ will begin once you are trained and certified on sorting operations

Requirements:

• Physically able to perform the daily duties mentioned above

• Previous experience on a sit-down, L.P. forklift (desired but not required)

• Attention to detail

• Able to adjust to a changing work schedule (notice given when changes are needed)

• Desire to excel and move up within the company when opportunities come available
