Nephrology Nurse Practitioner

Nephrology Specialists, PC is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Nurse Practitioner to join our team. This individual will play a crucial role in providing comprehensive care to our patients, in both our dialysis units and office settings across the Richmond area.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct weekly assessments of hemodialysis patients in the dialysis setting.
• Perform appropriate physical examinations, history taking, and review of systems.
• Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests as necessary.
• Prescribe medications and treatments as needed.
• Formulate diagnoses based on patient evaluations and diagnostic findings.
• Implement education and therapeutic interventions to meet outcome goals specific to hemodialysis patients.
• Initiate referrals to other healthcare providers when necessary.
• Respond to emergent situations with appropriate emergency treatment.
• Ensure complete, timely, and accurate documentation of all patient encounters.
• Complete required PAM and PHQ-9 forms.

Certified Family Nurse Practitioner

Master's Degree in Nursing

BLS Certification

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

1 year of Nephrology experience preferred

Experience with Athena preferred
