About the Opportunity:
∙ Job Title: Welder
∙ Pay: $23/Hour
∙ Location: Plymouth, MN 
∙ Schedule: 2nd Shift, Mon-Thurs 3PM-1:30AM with required O/T from time to time.
 
Daily functions:
  1. Responsible for welding a variety of items which may be subject to heavy stress or load. Usually welding for mechanical strength.
  2. Responsible for quality of work performed in welding area.
  3. Accountable for using caution in handling equipment, tools, and parts.
  4. Responsible for the general maintenance of both machinery and plant area, including cleaning and maintenance of welding machines and all tools involved in daily production.
  5. Responsible for good housekeeping practices in the welding area.
  6. Abides by all policies, procedures, and guidelines of the company including good common sense safety practices.
  7. Performs all job assignments as instructed by the Group Lead, Assistant Plant Manager and/or Vice President, Operations.
Desired qualifications:
  1. One-year certificate from college or technical school and five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  2. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of an organization.
  3. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
  4. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Physical requirements:
  1. Stand more than 2/3 of the time.
  2. Walk less than 1/3 of the time.
  3. Sit under 1/3 of the time.
  4. Use hands, fingers, and arms over 2/3 of the time.
  5. No Kneeling, Crawling, Stooping, or Climbing
  6. Lifting items 10/25 pounds 2/3 of the time
  7. Lifting items under 50 pounds 1/3 of the time
  8. No lifting items over 50 pounds.
