KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Appear at WCAB proceedings for Lien Conferences, Lien Trials, and other hearings Aggressively negotiate lien claims on workers’ compensation files Research and drafting of legal briefs Prepare status and hearing reports to clients Build relationships with clients and lien claimants in order to facilitate settlements At least 50% travel required Requisite skills and experience: Strong understanding of Workers Compensation law and litigation procedures Superior research, analytical, and negotiating ability Excellent written and oral communication Commitment to proactive case management Demonstrate creative problem solving and analytical skills Demonstrated ability to work independently and also effectively in a team environment Strong organizational skills Strong evaluation and negotiation skills WORK ENVIRONMENT When applicable and appropriate, consideration will be given to reasonable accommodations.
