Job Title: Special Education Teacher - Webster, South Dakota Area

Location: Webster, South Dakota

Employment Type: Full-Time, Onsite

Are you a compassionate and dedicated educator with a passion for supporting students with diverse learning needs? Soliant Education is seeking a Special Education Teacher to join our team in the Webster, South Dakota area. In this role, you will have the opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of students across various settings, including high school behavior classrooms, elementary behavior classrooms, and resource classrooms.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students with disabilities in high school behavior classrooms, elementary behavior classrooms, and resource classrooms.
  • Provide direct instruction and support to students with diverse learning needs, including behavior management strategies and academic interventions.
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and parents to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Conduct ongoing assessments to monitor student progress and adjust instruction as needed to meet individualized goals.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of student progress, behavior, and IEP goals.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Special Education or related field (Master's degree preferred)
  • Valid state teaching certification in Special Education
  • Experience working with students with behavior disorders and diverse learning needs
  • Strong understanding of behavior management strategies and best practices in special education
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
