Injection Molding Technician

We are looking for an Injection Molding Technician to join our team!

Description:

• Develop and construct and a variety of jigs, fixtures, gauges and molds.
• Plan construction procedures and methods, selecting the proper materials.
• Identify and correct problems in complicated dies and tools.
• Perform work and machine set-ups and operate all tool room equipment, including lathes, drill presses, vertical milling machines, TIG Welding, cylindrical and surface grinders.
• Perform bench work: component disassembly, precision fitting, polish, assembly troubleshooting, and adjustments, using a variety of hand tools.
• Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, drawings, manuals, specifications, or sample parts to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished work piece, sequence of operations, and set up requirements.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Minimum 5 to 7 years of experience in injection mold troubleshooting, retrofits, improvements and repairs is required.
• Journeyman or equivalent years of experience in tooling. Formal electrical training is required.
• Ability to convert Imperial and Metric temperatures, volumes and pressures as used in molding operations is required.
• Knowledge of volumes is required.
• Knowledge of pressures is required.
• Knowledge of weights, strengths of materials, and moments of inertia is required.
• Basic knowledge of all Trigonometry functions and knowledge of viscosities and flow is required.

Details:

• 2nd Shift: 3:00 pm - 11:30 pm
• 3rd Shift: 11:00 pm - 7:30 am
• Must be able to work additional hours at the end of each shift, additional days during the payroll week. Overtime is a requirement for this position.
• Pay: $34/hour
• This is a full-time, contract-to-hire position.
